Abstract
The Cycle of Violence Against Children in Manggarai. This study explores the cycle of violence against children in Manggarai. The main questions are how is the tendency of violence againts children in Manggarai and what is the root of the problem. Using mix method (quantitative and qualitative) the study discovered that the number of violence against children was high and included various type of violences. The violence were done mostly by adult who were close to victims. Most of the actors ever experienced violence during their childhood. So there was a chain and transmission of violence from one generation to generation. It was strengthened by Manggarai tradition which placed children as object of their parents.
